"There's one word I only reserve for the best of the best and that's - Wowsa! In my book, ImprovBoston was the best of DCM 13."

- ImprovisationNews.com, Aug 25, 2011

This workshop explores free-form improvisation - the foundation of the ImprovBoston Mainstage's unique style. In free-form, we don't follow a particular structure. Instead, we follow the concept that every moment on stage can be deconstructed and can lead to another scene - all while following the funny. In this workshop, we'll review some tools that will enable you to create a unique free-form performing experience every time you hit the stage. This will include an exploration of "organic editing" and finding inspired ways to take your audience to new scenes.  We will cover the ideas of listening to what the show wants, where the show wants to go, what can be funny, when are the best times to edit. This workshop is ideal for improvisers who want to apply free-form concepts to other show structures like the Harold as well as for improvisers who are looking to expand their long form improv skills in general.
