THE DECONSTRUCTION
TAUGHT BY:
JEFF HAWKINS & BRIAN O'CONNELL
Friday, November 9th, 2:00PM

The Deconstruction is a performance piece that is also a powerful learning tool. It will benefit
students who feel comfortable onstage and have a good understanding of Harold structure, but who want to have a clearer understanding about how to approach the form.
Built into the structure of the piece is a break down of different aspects of scenework. Source scenes deal with information and grounded relationship. Thematic scenes focus on themes as well as agreement and heightening. Commentary scenes look at critical behavior, game play and premise. The Running deals with momentum and pacing of a piece
